If you run your own business without employees, you can sign an insurance agreement with Fora. As long as you do not hire any employees, you only pay the base premium* and do not need to report pay.
Through the insurance agreement, you are covered by the Work injury insurance (TFA).
The insurance agreement also includes insurance for employees. These come into effect if you hire staff. When you hire manual workers, you must start reporting their pay on a monthly basis. Only then do you pay for these insurances.
*Base premium (grundpremie) is the annual fee that companies without employees pay to maintain an insurance agreement covering their future employees. For 2025, the cost is 1,000 SEK and is invoiced retrospectively.
You will receive two reminders from Fora each year to ensure you don’t forget what to do if you have hired staff.
If the company has hired staff since the previous reminder, the newly hired manual workers must be registered with Fora. Their pay must then be reported every month, starting from the first payroll payment.
