If at any time you have earned money towards SAF-LO collective pension insurance (Avtalspension SAF-LO) you will receive an annual pension statement from Fora.
The contents of the pension statement will vary from person to person. The information it contains may include how the value of your collective pension insurance has changed in the last year, which pension manager handles your pension money, whether you have survivor’s cover, which pay your employer has reported to Fora and how much has been paid into your collective pension insurance this year.
Please note that your statement may not look exactly like the following example.
After you retire, your pension is likely to come from several different sources. The pension pyramid is often used to show how the pension system works.
This is the value of your collective pension insurance on 31st December last year. The money you earned towards SAF-LO collective pension insurance during last year is not included (they will appear on next year’s pension statement, as this money is paid during the current year).
The contents of your pension statement will depend on what has happened during the year. It may include:
Värdet av ditt kapital vid årets början / The value of your capital at the start of the year: How much money you had in your collective pension insurance on 31 December last year.
Premie för Avtalspension SAF-LO/Premium for SAF-LO collective pension insurance: the money that your employer has paid into your occupational pension for the specified year (the money was paid last year).
Värdeförändring / Change in value: Shows how the value of your pension capital has changed during the year. For example, in a traditional insurance plan you may receive a bonus; in a unit-linked insurance plan the value of the funds may increase or decrease.
Adjustment: Corrections to previously reported information.
Avkastningskatt / Pension returns tax: Your pension manager pays a standard rate of tax on the assets that they administer. This tax is deducted from your pension capital, regardless of whether you have received any returns or not.
Avgifter / Fees: Your pension manager charges a fee for managing your pension money.
Arvsvinst / Inheritance gain: If you do not have repayment cover, you will receive a share of the pension money left behind by people who have died during the year and who were born in the same year as you.
Survivor’s cover is an umbrella term for various kinds of financial compensation that are paid to your survivors when you die.
Repayment cover (återbetalningsskydd): your family (beneficiaries) will receive the money that you have earned towards your collective pension insurance when you die. If you do not have repayment cover, other pension savers will share your pension money when you die. This is called inheritance gains.
Family cover (familjeskydd): Life insurance that you can apply for in addition to your occupational pension. If you die before the age of 65 years, your family (beneficiaries) will receive a monthly survivor’s pension. The cost of family cover is deducted from your pension pot and thus reduces the size of your pension.
Pension managers handle your pension money. Your pension money can be distributed among multiple pension managers. Here you see who they are, as well as how the value of your capital has changed during the year.
There are two different options for saving that you can choose for your occupational pension: traditional insurance (traditionell försäkring) and unit-linked insurance (fondförsäkring).
On the “Annual statement” (Årsavstämning) page, you can see the pay details reported to us by your employer(s) at the beginning of the current year. These details mainly relate to the pay that you earned last year, but any changes to details from previous years may be shown here too.
Based on the pay your employer reports to Fora, we calculate how large a premium, i.e. how much money, should be paid into your collective pension insurance for last year.
Premier / Premiums: Premiums are the amount that has been paid into an insurance plan. Here ‘premiums’ mean the total amount that your employer has paid into your occupational pension for last year.
Avkastning från Fora/ Return from Fora: Your employer pays your pension contributions to Fora, who transfers them to your pension manager. During the period that the money is held by Fora, you receive a standard return on your money.
Foras förmedlingskostnad / Fora’s intermediation fee: Fora deducts a fee of 1.5 percent from the money that your employer pays into your occupational pension.
